What's Next In My Life's Agenda
70
And Then What?
The world to me is just wonder and fun,
But there’s nothing much to do before age one,
But learn to crawl on my hands and knees,
Looking for something my little hands can seize.
But in a wink I find myself in school,
Kindergarten for me surely did rule,
Then it was pre-school and then primary,
I wonder what’s next as my life goes in a flurry.
I was unprepared for university like any other,
Struggling alongside peers to receive top honour,
It felt like a rat race laced with strife,
My goodness, is this all that there is to life?
Five years later I still walk through Education’s gate,
As I earnestly work to complete my Doctorate,
But I am happy now because life is a bit more different,
As it has been three months since my engagement.
And here I was thinking life was slow,
But having three kids keep you on the go,
Happily married with a beautiful family,
I wonder what’s next for me in life’s journey.
I muse as to what next I shall face in time,
I wonder what experience is waiting next in line,
Have I not acquired all that I need?
This life surely is a mystery indeed!

Striving For Earthly Gain
Luke 12:15-21 (NIV)
15 Then he (Jesus) said to them , "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." 16 And he told them this parable : "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop . 17 He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' 18 "Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." 20 "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself? 21 "This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
I know I have given you a mouthful of scripture to ingest and digest but it’s simply put to emphatically ask this question to you or rather to us all (thus including myself), and that is: “What Next ?”
You have been a kid, as a child apart from playing and being care free you were trained and given an education. We see the need for education so that it allows us to guarantee for ourselves a source of income via a job. So we educate ourselves some up to 1st degree, others go a step further to acquire their Masters of Science or Philosophy. A doctorate is pursued by those who really want to perfect the art of their academic passions. But after that “What Next ?”
Some of us may seek after our dream jobs, establish ourselves within a career and then “What Next ?” Some of us are given the opportunity to travel the world and enjoy life as “we know it” to the best and then, “What Next ?”
Some would seek to get married and establish a family of their own. Grooming their children and beginning the cycle again by parting advice and values unto their children and then “What Next ?”
Some of us become preoccupied with our business ventures, our ideas, fascinations, dreams, all of which are well and good. However, after spending all of your life pursuing physical dreams, setting up an empire, building a “life”, after working long hours slaving at the desk in work, “What Next ?”
There is one thing certain in life, regardless of how or when it happens, and that is DEATH. Death is something that is certain in life. But does it have to be the end.........is it the end........?
There are many emails reminding us that life is short and that we should not waste a moment quarrelling and murmuring but rather we should be out there squeezing everything we can get out of life. But after you squeeze out as much as you can get “What Next ?”
Striving For Heavenly Glory
My desire is just to remind us all that believe, and even to encourage those that are yet to believe, that there is life beyond the grave. How we live now, determines what our reward shall be after. My encouragement is to still go ahead and squeeze as much as you can out of life, enjoy it to the very best, but invest in a relationship with God. There are greater riches in a relationship with God, than the world could ever offer.
Matthew 6:19 & 20 19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Whatever, status, riches and accolades we gain on this earth would remain on this earth. We cannot take our riches to the grave with us or better yet we cannot use anything we gain on this earth in death. So why not use it wisely while alive. Use your talents and your gifts to share with others. Learn of a God that the majority of the world denies by their lifestyles. And after you have learnt of Him, SHARE HIM with others. Just remember, death is certain, so use what life you have to learn of Him that has conquered death.
Jesus said in revelation 1:18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
And we are given these words of encouragement from the book of Corinthians
1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? 56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. 57But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
So when asked WHAT NEXT? the next time around you can tell anyone HEAVENBOUND!!
God Bless You ALL!!!
- Are your thoughts heaven bound?
My ears quiver, at what they were being told A foretaste of victory, my eyes were made to behold Victory for those who were able to stand Victory for all who abided by Gods plan The race seems...

Good Hub. When our life is in the Father God's hands, we don't have to wonder "what's next" but simply trust Him that whatever is next will be according to His plans and that He has nothing but the best in all He does. God bless.
